Teaching AS at Darbi College has been a novel experience. It provides the opportunity to develop one's teaching style in a new environment. What sharply distinguishes Darbi College from most other private and public schools is the small tuition classes and the opportunity to relate to one's students in a highly personal manner. This ensures that the teaching material is processed on a deep level and is suited to the individual's frame of mind. The problems with understanding the syllabus are cleared swiftly and the students feel in the way they should feel in any school and any occupation they undertake - like individuals and not like "educational (or other) units". The team is also relatively small which prompts effective and timely communication between its members.

Teaching has always given me a great pleasure. I adore working with young and enthusiastic people who are motivated to adopt knowledge and skills in order to become competitive in the labour market and business world.
This is what I have actually done this academic year. The students at Darbi deserve all the efforts and hard work I did to prepare them for the coming exams. We have managed to build a process of collaboration in which I have taught them Business and Economics and they have responded with the necessary enthusiasm and interest in the subjects. The classes were not just academic but also included illustrations from real life and business, which my students definitely liked and found useful. I feel really proud and happy that I managed to establish a strong relationship with Miro, Grety, Geri and Sylvia.

It is still a difficult objective to assess the strengths and weaknesses of teaching and studying at Darbi College. This is mainly because this was the very first year and we all had not only to learn so many new things, but also swiftly to apply them. In my opinion, teachers and students together have made a great pace towards establishing an educational institution of a very high standard. I strongly believe that the upcoming students' results will affirm this. The friendly environment also played a very important role. In this sense, I consider the academic 2007/2008 as very successful.
